WARRIORS

“Warriors” is the lead single by Bamba Nazar off of his “March on Gamorah” album due out in 2012. This song pays homage to those that made the ultimate sacrifice to attain liberty, justice and independence.

Bamba Nazar is a singer, songwriter, producer and activist among many other things. After producing Redman’s singles “Coc Back” and “Rockin’ wit da best” Bamba now steps out front as an artist with his message of defiance.

The video was shot on Malcolm X’s 46th anniversary, January 21st 2011. The song opens with a potent Adam Clayton Powell speech that rings as true today as it did over 50 years ago. All scenes and historical references were reenacted by a cast of activists and artists in the hopes that it may inspire the listener to reactivate the warrior spirit within.

The Video and song for Warriors was directed and produced by Bamba Nazar for ((BLACKSTEREO)) with camera and editing work by Kitchel Samuel. Footage was shot in Amsterdam and Zanzibar.

ROCKIN’ WIT DA BEST

Rockin’ wit da Best was the ultimate throwback single on Redman’s Reggie Album released in 2010, produced by Bamba Nazar aka Threesixty. The song delivers an energetic back drop reminiscent of an early 80′s soundtrack music. In the hook and break downs Bamba sampled hiphop legend Kool Moe Dee off of an old battle cassette tape. Upon hearing this Red got so inspired he felt the urge to locate the veteran mc and feature him in the video.

This song is of cultural significance in a world where very little respect is paid to the foundation hiphop was build on. From breakdance to graffiti, this video brings it home…

COC BACK

“Coc Back” was the first official single off of Redman’s Reggie album. The single was well received and brought Red back to the very foundation of hiphop to the sound of a hectic breakbeat and a haunting synth patch. The combination of the two created a sense of urgency to the chemistry between Red and featured Gilla House artist Ready Roc.

The foundation to the song was laid down “live” with Threesixty cutting up two vinyl copies of the beat. No sequencing was added, hence the loose and oldschool park jam feel of the song. The synth parts were played over the top live as was the bass line. Red and Ready Roc’s spit fire delivery proved once again why Red is one of the nicest to ever do it. The single was mastered by Young Guru. Enjoy…

WORLDVOTE

Is it possible to organize a worldwide referendum, applying the principle of “one person, one vote” to create a global democracy? Filmmaker Joel Marsden went in search of the answer to this question, visiting people involved in democratic processes in 26 countries. His commentary describes a search for the essence of democracy, with fluently edited imagery accompanied by punchy music and infographics to illustrate the facts he puts forward.

Bamba Nazar scored most of this documentary film. He managed to capture the elements of democracy from the voices to the cocked guns ready to silence the opposition, here’s a taste of what it sounds like…
